Meditation
Meditation helps us transform our minds from negative to positive, disturbed to peaceful, and unhappy to happy. Once you learn how to meditate, you can enjoy this state throughout the day, not only while you are seated.
Meditation helps you to calm your mind and become more focused and aware. A simple ten- or fifteen-minute meditation can help you overcome stress and find inner peace and balance.
Classes are at the Pacifica Community Center located at 540 Crespi Dr.

Breathing, Meditation and Deep Relaxation - Monday Workshops

Breathing practices prepare the mind for Meditation by drawing the mind inward. Having a regular practice of breath work increases oxygen to the body, clears excess mucous that causes sinus problems and allergies and focuses the mind. Meditation reduces stress, soothes the mind, allows you to focus on the peace within, meditation also provides many spiritual, emotional, and physiological benefits. Deep relaxation is a guided visualization while you are lying down. it calms and relaxes the mind, spine and the body. Please bring a mat and dress in layers in case your body cools down. For comfort you may also bring any bolsters, eye/neck pillows and blankets. Class meets 1st and 3rd Mondays (sometimes 5th).
